Jones struggling to cope with death of wifeAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
London, Oct 24 (AZINS) Singer Tom Jones says he is still struggling to come to terms with the death of his wife Linda.
The legendary singer admits that he still thinks Linda is alive as he drifts off to sleep, reports people.com.
Jones, 76, who was married for 59 years, said: "I hear her voice. I see her a lot at night. When I dream that she's still here and then I wake up and she's not, that's the hardest."
Linda - real name Melinda Rose Woodward - died aged 75 from lung cancer in Los Angeles six months ago.
Asked if he would consider finding love again, it is a notion he can't even contemplate.
"I haven't even thought about that - I really haven't. It was a devastating thing because we found out she had lung cancer - she didn't know. She had emphysema, you see, then all of a sudden, boom. I was on tour at the time and I came home and they didn't know how long we had," he said.
The singer also added "It's still hard. I didn't know whether I'd be able to get up on stage and be emotional with songs, especially songs that she liked. But I can be and it's lifted me up and she's there."
