Dassault Systemes kicks off 'manufacturing in age of experience' event

Shanghai, Nov 3 (AZINS) France-based global 3D design software company Dassault Systemes inaugurated here on Thursday its 'manufacturing in the age of experience" event aimed at exploring digital transformation of the industry and helping manufacturers provide "personalised experience" to their customers.

The event unites 3DExperience platform user communities and Dassault Systèmes executives to exchange ideas, applications and expertise on the digital transformation taking place in industrial manufacturing operations.

"The world of manufacturing has a new goal, across all markets: mass customisation and quick delivery to an on-demand generation of consumers, meaning that the fragmented manufacturing of yesteryear will simply not do anymore," said Monica Menghini, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Dassault Systemes.

"Complete synchronization and integration of operations, modularity and predictive analytics will allow manufacturers to provide consumers with a personalized experience with which they can feel an emotional connection. ‘Manufacturing in the Age of Experience' offers a unique opportunity to explore how to achieve this with the 3DExperience platform," Menghini noted.

Top Dassault Systèmes brand leaders gave presentations on virtualising the industry value chain during the plenary session. Top officials from Airbus Helicopters, Doosan Infracore and Honda Motor also shared customer case stories on manufacturing transformation and success.

The two-day event will see participation from industry leaders from fields as diverse as aerospace and defence, transportation and mobility, energy, process and utilities, consumer goods and retail.
