The Weeknd sleeps better since getting hair cutLos Angeles, Nov 8 (AZINS) Singer Abél Makkonen Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, gets sound sleep after getting rid of his dreadlocks.

He says he could only sleep on one side of his face when he had a head full of dreadlocks, but since he has hacked off his long tresses and opted for a shorter hair do, he can now get the best 40 winks he has ever had, reports people.com.

"I could only sleep on one side of my face. Now, the sleep is amazing. The shower is amazing, because I don't have to spend two hours cleaning it. I didn't know how much I wanted it until I did it," The Weeknd said.

The singer said the new makeover "was a long time coming".

"It didn't feel right anymore," he said.

"I told everybody I was getting rid of it, and everybody -- literally, unanimously -- they were like, 'No, don't do it! That's your whole thing, that's you.' And the way they said that, I was like, 'Oh, I'm definitely cutting it now'," The Weeknd added.
