Director of 'Arrival' doesn't like VFXLos Angeles, Nov 22 (AZINS) Denis Villeneuve, director of the forthcoming Hollywood film "Arrival", says that he is not a fan of visual effects and has tried to minimise their use in the film as well.

"I don't like green screens. I don't like the actors to be in contact with something that doesn't exist, I like them to be surrounded by something real," Villeneuve said in a statement.

"I asked Patrice (production designer) to build the interior of this spaceship, That was a big gift for the production because we were able to create the massive tunnel and the chamber. There were no visual effects, it is all real, and the actors were able to feel the strangeness of that room," he added.

"Arrival" features actors Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlbarg and Tzi Ma.

The film revolves around Louise Banks -- essayed by Adams. She is an intuitional linguist and gradually communicates with aliens, thereby drastically altering the way she understands her life and quite possibly saves the world from a war.

The film will hit the theatres on Friday in India.
