Kimmel forgot to announce Oscar news to familyLos Angeles, Dec 10 (AZINS) Popular TV host Jimmy Kimmel "forgot" to tell his parents that he will host the 2017 Academy Awards.

The 49-year-old announced on his talk show earlier this week that he and wife Molly McNearney are expecting their second child together and also revealed he will host this year's Oscars ceremony on February 26.

"I forgot to tell my parents, and then they found out online. So, that's probably the best feedback I got," Kimmel told etonline.com.

When announcing his double good news earlier this week, Kimmel joked that he had achieved two things he never expected possible when he was a teenager.

He said: "My wife is hosting a baby inside her body. So that's what's coming.

"So, there's a lot of exciting stuff going on. Congratulations to me. I'm hosting the Oscars and I had sex. Two things as a teenage boy I never thought would be possible."
